Just checked in on the status of GGGG at HLJ today and I'm happy to say that it's listing has been moved from "Pre Order" to "New Items" meaning that they may have FINALLY recieved it!! However till I get my payment request from Paypal I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic as it does still say "Nov. Release" next to it.

Ok ok ok.... So... GGGG is back under preorders again for whatever reason on HLJ, however do not despair friends, Amazon has listed the release date for two weeks from now. It seems that the latest release was due to Max Factory just goofing and missing their shipping date for the item, but since they haven't updated their blog since August I can't really tell.... anyway 12/19 is when we should FINALLY see this guy roll out... I've been waiting since April, I'm fairly sure I can wait a few more days (plus there's a pay check in between now and then and I can start my holiday shopping with a bit of my GGGG money).

Yeah I'm sure there's alot of robot fans out there who missed this guy on the first go and were really pumped to learn they're getting another chance... only to end up waiting and extra 5 months... so if I can ease the pain a little bit by doing daily check ups on it I'm glad to post my findings.

Hmmm, well whatever floats your boat, man. I've always been more into dynamic posing and setting up cool looking scenes, and the problem with most transforming toys that I know of is that they never really have the joints for posing. Also the Max GGGG looks far cooler than the CMS transforming version, imho.

My patience run thin for the re-issued version, and worried that Max Factory will have further delays. I finally got my GGGG this afternoon from Greenhills. Cost me PHP8000, approximately USD190.00. Sooooo happy it now finally docked in my display cabinet. As Mamoru said, Waa-ha!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.

I also have the CMS one and I've put it back in its box since I have the MAX !

I don't have the Max Factory (YET), but I do have the CM's and it is quite impresive too - plus it transforms... I understand that the non-transforming do look more anime accurate, like Kotobukiya's Sozetsu Gokin GaoFighGar and GaoGaiGar, but the CM's transforming GFG, GGG, GGGG, and the new GaoGaiGo are nothing to be ashamed of...

Hmmm... well I really do hope to get a CMS eventually, and the Brave line is very intruiging. I'm sure I'd enjoy one very much if I could just afford it....

hi i'm confused with this GGG figures there are some from CMS & MaxFactory. what are their differences? how diiferent are them from the Final version? if i recall correctly this MF Final ver 1.5 came out before rite (heard there are some problem & being recall back) & now it's being reissue again? does this Final version being compilation of all CMS 01-05? hope you guys can enlighten me & i hope to get a best 1 for my collection since i'm not having any of them yet. Hi Quintesson, The term "Gaogaigar Final" is the title for the OVA series that followed the TV series. "Gaogaigar" is the hero (and title) for the TV series (49 Episodes). Gaogaigar is a giant combining robot, comprised of a robot/lion core, a train, a drill machine and a stealth bomber. There is only one pilot for the robot, the machines are remote controlled. Halfway through the TV series, Gaogaigar got an upgraded engine and was given new "wings" for space travel. This is the "Star Gaogaigar". By the end of the TV series, Gaogaigar lost the core robot( the Gaigar, the main body section with the lion mecha), when the alien child who brought the Gaigar machine to Earth in the first place decided to return to the stars and check to see if earth was truly free from the Zonders (the invading alien race). Fast forward to two years later, the show is now "Gaogaigar Final", a 12-part OVA direct to video release mini-series. With the lion part (the Gaigar) still in space, and Earth having problems with a new enemy, the BioNet organization, the 3G organization rebuild the Gaogaigar, now called the "Gaofighgar". After defeating the BioNet group, the alien child returns to Earth with a news of a new threat in space. The heroes set off for another galaxy and once there, the Gaofighgar is overwhelmed and obliterated. The alien child escapes capture and finds the original parts and designs created by his late father for the Gaogaigar machine. After rescuing the Gaogaigar pilot, they use the ultimate form of the Gaogaigar, the Genesic Gaogaigar to save the Earth! That's basically the story in a nutshell. As for the toys, The CMs Corp. originally released a 12 inch scaled Genesic Gaogaigar. That is the one in the black box. It's combining/transforming and very heavy but has no diecast parts. The toy was plagued with design flaws so CM's issued a recall. The toy was released a second time free to those who mailed back the original units. Later on, in the Brave Gokin line, they released another Genesic GGG again, this time 10 Inch scaled, had diecast (50% or so), had a ton of accessories at 1/3 the price of the first release. Obviously this burned a lot of collectors. As for Maxfactory. They originally released their Genesic Gaogaigar a year or so ahead of CM's. Pretty solid toy, almost 70-80% diecast, but does not transform. It too had some problems like tight leg joints. Maxfactory is planning to release a 1.5 version of the GGGG, with extra added fists for poses from the GGG Final OVA. No word yet if they fixed the tight leg joint problems. Try searching youtube for Videos on "Gaogaigar" and "Gaogaigar Final" if you can. I think it will help. Gold

Gold, you forgot to mention that GaoFighGar obliterates the evil Star GaoGaiGar in the "Final" OVA. A very good fight IMHO...
LONG LIVE GAOFIGHGAR!!!!
