Can anyone tell if the upcoming GFF RX78-2 ver Ka has dual mode? Actually, I am expecting Bandai is going to produce it this year. I noticed Some parts of RX78-2 ver Ka have been released in other GFFs.
I believe RX78-2 ver Ka is going to share the following parts with the following GFF gundams:-
1) Same head with GFF#0015 RX78-1 Prototype 2) Same beam sabers and four limbs (except for slight design changes on top part of arms and the lower of the body) with GFF#0018 RX78-4 or GFF#0020 RX78-5 3) Same upper body with GFF#0018 RXNT-1 Alex.
Well, I can say Mr. Hajime Katoki is really smart to create this Gundam by using existing design from the earlier GFFs. This method will help cutting down their time and cost of designing the whole new gundam like GFF#0025 Gundam/Penelope Gundam (a labour pain!). You will see what I said here will be fulfilled later.. Sounds like a prophet.. heeheee.

OK now I have been working with MG gundams for about 5 years now and the one thing that bites my ass is the liberal use of the Number designation for all the gundam universe.(or any model fr that matter)
I think I know what your talking about but if you could explain a little deeper yes Bandai will use any preexisting mold from a gundam to use as a cost cutting ave. but as long as it dose not hurt the over all product that that's fine with me

Gentlemen, The following is the pic of the prototype (RX78-2. ver Ka) which has been displayed in the most recent hobby show at Japan: members.jcom.home.ne.jp/u5purakiya/hs-gun.htmlSo, isn't my "prophecy" to be fulfilled? heheehhe...

No, your "prophecy" is completely wrong with "shared parts". I stated this on GOUF forums, but I should go ahead and explain this to the Robot-Japan crowd too.
First of all, using the same old parts from previous FIX is a horrible idea and won't neccicarily save time. Your assumption that the same chest as the Alex is wrong since the Alex needs to change that plate for the G-04. They might use the same mold, but its not the same part as it would have to be modified because it would actually be a part instead of a plate thats placed onto a FIX Frame. Re-designing parts like that is a pain.
First of all, its not the same head. The Gundam Ver Ka has two small intakes on either side of the faceplate in addition to those intakes on either side of the head. Also, the original heads for the Gundam Prototype won't be reused because of that fact and the fact that Katoki's Head unit looks "meaner". Also the old molds aren't exactly the best.
Secondly "Same beam sabers and four limbs (except for slight design changes on top part of arms and the lower of the body) with GFF#0018 RX78-4 or GFF#0020 RX78-5 ", you just shot yourself there, Mr. Prophet. Why would they be the same if there are slight design changes? They're not the same, so they won't be using the same parts. Like I said before, modifying parts is a pain and not really worth destroying the old molds.
Mr. Katoki IS smart, he's smart enough to know that using the old parts is a stupid idea. He's also smart enough to redesign the Gundam like a God. In conclusion, the New Gundam FIX of the Gundam Ver Ka is in no way identically related to the Gundam FIX 0015, 18, 20, or any Gundam FIX for that matter.

I think I should have used the word "Identical" instead of "share..the same..." in order to avoid the misunderstanding. I am not sure if you have GFF#0015 RX78-1 Prototype. In that particular box, you would notice the head is identical with that of RX78-2 ver Ka as you described. I think you also shot yourself.

No, I didn't shoot myself. The intake system on the Heavy Gundam isn't there, you're right. On the White head of the Prototype the head has those vents that are kind of like the Ver Ka, but they're not. They're bulkier and they have three slits through it. The Ver Ka head unit isn't like that. Besides, look at this head unit on the FIX 0015. Can you honestly see Katoki wanting to use that head mold again for his masterpiece? Your suggestion to "recycle" previously exsisting parts is not very promising. Besides, we've seen the original mold for the Gundam Ver Ka. Its not using any of the identical parts. They'll make the molds off of the final version, not from recycled parts. Your "identical" and "share the same" idea is null. Quite the prohpet you are.

Bazookafield, hahahaha... you've got me. Anyway, thanks for the correction and comment. I truly appreciate that. Well, I hope this RX78-2 ver Ka has a better or more articulation especially its lower part of the body. By the way, I wonder if this ver Ka has a dual mode feature? Since you have seen it, would you think it will be a worth buy?

Bazzokafield, does it have the same as or bigger scale than its earlier version?

I'm not sure. I would guess this FIX would be the same as any other. As for a transformation or removeable core fighter, I wouldn't be surprised. Although, I don't recall ever seeing Katoki's Gundam with a core fighter or G-Fighter or anything like that. I would assume if it were transformable, we would see the G-Fighter or the Core Fighter Katoki Versions, which we have not yet seen.
As far as I'm concerned, this Gundam Ver Ka is worth more of a buy than the other Gundams, but thats just personal opinion there.

Since Bandai will be going to release GFF version RX-78 ver Ka in August, so, I am thinking to get it and give my Banpestro Delux Display Model series RX-78 ver Ka away.

Mudrock, Thanks for the picture. From the picture, it tells that RX78-2 ver Ka can be combined with GFF#0004 G-Fighter, that sounds great! But, if RX78-2 ver Ka can be fitted with GFF#0004 parts, this could mean it has the same size as GFF#0004 RX78-2. I thought it should be bigger than the early version and have about the same size as Mudrock or RX78NT-1 Alex.

MAN, I like the Gundam/GM (gave them a reason to toss a GM in with a Gundam FIX line! Very sneaky!) but I did not expect the Gouf/Efreet! Thats excellent! More reasons for me to save up for future releases. My list, as of now:
Gundam ver Ka/GM-C Gundam FIX Gouf/Efreet Custom Zeonography HGUC Hazel Kai 1/144 (whenever that finally gets a release date, but I know its coming)

Wow! what a nice picture! However, from the above picture, I still can't tell if it has the same scale with the early version. Anyway, I am going to order it simply because I like Katoki's version RX78-2. By the way, since you have pictures of the latest GFF and MSiA, I wonder if you have a picture of completely-painted Freedom in Cosmic Region version, which I really can't wait to see.

Above is another perspective of the new GFF Gundam ver KA with inflight display stand (the same stand design like that of CR Freedom as seen below: I think Bandai probably will have GFF RX78 (One Year War version) in future. Don't you think?
