Bumping this thread up. I noticed theres a lot more new members out there (welcome). I'm hoping some people would like to post some new toy stores they've found. Once posted, I'll update and organize the list.

thanks for the demizer. if you get the address and stuff. I'll post it here.
What I hope is that one day will have a huge list that everyone can use as a resource. I'd like to keep this up to date, it's small right now, but I'm sure if everyone contributes we can have a thorough toy list, that would be great to look up on trips.

A great store in the Netherlands is A Space Oddity, in Amsterdam, very near to the Anne Frank house. He's got all kinds of stuff, including a lot of vintage toys obtained from private collectors. A Space Oddity Prinsengracht 204 1016HD Amsterdam Tel.: +31 (0)20 - 42 74 036 www.spaceoddity.nl

Taipei, TaiwanThis is the first of many local toyshops that I'll be presenting to RJ members who might have a chance to visit Taipei in the future. Located in the Shilin Night Market, one unique toyshop to check out is Shui Huo or "Water Goods". The shop's name is literally translated into English as "imported goods," and so it sells mostly imported character goods from Japan. At first glance of the shop's outside, most shoppers expect to find only products relating to Doraemon, Gegege No Kitaro, and a host of Sanrio and Disney characters. Shui Huo's shop entrance.Don't let this first impression fool you! Look more closely above the shop's sign and and venture inside. What you'll find is an exciting plethora of classic Japanese super robot merchandize such as soft vinyl figures, SOCs, posters, animation cells, and much more. A rare Mazinger Z pachinko display and a large Fewture Mazinger Z soft vinyl figure. (The view of the Kaiyodo Mazinger Z figure inside the IKEA glass display case is covered by piled boxes of Doraemon merchandize.)A very famous Japanese artist visiting Taipei and the Shilin Night Market stopped by Shui Huo and signed his autograph on this display case's glass panel.
Sometimes Mazinger Z items are obscured by the many other Japanese character mechandize found in every corner of this relatively small shop. For example, it's difficult to notice this interesting Mazinkaiser poster hanging above the ceiling and partially hidden by an Elmo soft plush doll. First-time visitors to Shui Huo are often amazed at the number of products on display and old customers always find something new that catches their fancy and makes them leave with lighter wallets. Whoa, wait! Did you notice the dark Mazinger Z on the right lower corner? It's actually a Kaiyodo Mazinger Z soft-vinyl figure that was custom painted by Shui Huo's owner/manager for a regular customer. It turned out really nice. Shui Huo has been in business in the Shilin Night Market for almost a decade. In my opinion, it offers reasonable prices for some items but, of course, shoppers can expect to pay higher for rare or hard-to-find items. Overall, though, prices won't be much higher than most online toy sellers. The owner and manager of Shui Huo is quite a friendly fellow. I shopped there the other day and asked if I could take some pictures of the shop to post on the RJ Forum, and he gladly approved. Although the owner speaks limited English, he is fluent in Japanese. Anyhow, if you can speak either Mandarin or Japanese and have a particular item you are interested in but can't find in the shop, just ask the owner and he might be able to get it for you in Japan. Well, if you ever get that chance to visit Taipei and the Shilin Night Market, be sure to stop by Shui Huo. Shui Huo ToysAddress: Shilin District An Ping Street Lane 5 No. 13 Tel: 2880-5909

LOL!
I can't help but laugh at the name of the shop. I was brought up to believe that shui huo = illegally imported goods. ;D
BTW you might wanna post this up at the sticky thread instead.

I thought the same before, but apparently the Chinese term shuihou implies consumer items or goods that are imported without going through the licensed distributor channel. Usually, consumers who buy shuihuo items don't have the same benefits as consumers who buy the same item through licensed local distrubutors. The benefits would include getting a refund or exchanging an item if there is a problem with it. I think "zousi huo" is a Chinese term meaning illegal goods.
I'm not familiar with the "sticky thread"? Anyway, I thought that other than providing just addresses, it would be a good idea to have some photos and information of the shops listed in this thread of toyshops worldwide. There were few instances in the past when I came across a toyshop's address and traveled great distances to check out the actual shop, and sometimes I would be greatly disappointed with the shop and thought it would've saved me much time and travel expenses had the toyshop's source of information provided much more than just an address. In any case, let me know if I should delete or move my post in this thread.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. My Mandarin apparently isn't as awesome as I thought. ;D
And as for the "sticky thread" issue, my fault. I forgot that the sticky was only meant for online stores, and this is for worldwide toy stores.
Perhaps mods wanna make this informative thread as sticky before we lose it.

South can you confirm this is the actual address? Or is that a local housing? This looks to be a online store not, a walk in store. Sheraz Mohammed c/o Kool Toyz 92 Sunny Meadow Blvd. Brampton, Ontario L6R 1X5 Canada

You're welcome. Like I said, I also thought shuihuo meant "smuggled goods".
BTW, I'm glad to see another fellow "Emerald City" resident in the RJ forum. I used to live in Seattle for a number of years; in fact, my family still lives there. All I can say is that there aren't many toyshops selling Japanese super robot toys in the city. Of course, you've probably been to the toyshop near the old Uwajimaya in the International District. On the other hand, I saw a toyshop somewhere in the Northgate Shopping Mall area. Unfortunately, I never bothered to go inside and check out the shop since I wasn' t into toys then. I'm still curious what the shop has inside.
