Below is some Hong Kong toy shops info i gathered when I was there in November 2010. I visited most of the stores listed below and some pictures are attached. I found these locations partly through info from this forum, and partly from my toy collector friend in HK. Hope this list is of use to people.
Hong Kong Island:Wan Chai:
Toy Street (Tai Yuen Street) (太原街)
This one is hard to find, but exit A3 from Wan Chai MTR would get you almost there. There are 3-4 toy stores on this street but only one is notable: Hung Hing toys (鴻興玩具). Hung King is Bandai’s distributor in Hong Kong and has good prices but bad customer service. Popular items also sell out very fast here. Pictures:
Oriental 188 Shopping Arcade (東方188)
188 Wan Chai Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
From exit A3 of Wan Chai MTR, go east on Johnston road and take a slight right at the split onto Wan Chai Road. Various toy stores in 2nd and 3rd floor. Vintage and new.
C. C. Wu Building (集成中心)
302-303 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
Vintage store (懷古角) located in upper level. Enter from Wan Chai Road side for easier access to upper floor. Pictures:
Causeway Bay:
Causeway Bay Center (銅鑼灣中心)
Sugar Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Animate (宇宙船) and other toy stores in the basement. Enter Sugar Street from Hennessy / Yee Wo Street, Causeway Bay Center is little more than half way through the block on your left.
Causeway Bay Commercial Building (銅鑼灣商業大廈)
Sugar Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Vintage store (toy zone) on 16th floor.
Enter Sugar Street from Hennessy / Yee Wo Street, Causeway Bay Commercial Building on your left. Usually there’s a guy holding a box and a sign in front of the building. Go in and take elevator to 16th floor.

Richmond Commercial Building (皆旺商業大廈)
105-107 Argyle Street, Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Lots of vintage, modern toy stores. However, be aware as the sellers are known to be not completely honest (e.g. used toys may be sold as new). Nevertheless, there are a lot of stores here. I’m listing this one first because it’s closest to Mong Kok MTR Station. You may want to start here and work your way down the list if you plan to visit all the toy stores in Mong Kok.
CTMA Center (兆萬中心)
1N Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Bunch of toy stores scattered throughout the building (mostly modern toys). Most notable is Superman store on 2nd floor, and hot toys distributor also on 2nd floor.
Enter building from Sai Yeung Choi Street South (there is MTR access few blocks north of the building).
Animate main store (宇宙船)
Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Right across CTMA Center on 2nd floor. You will see their huge display window from the CTMA entrance looking across the street. Look for signs for Animate and take the stairs up. This store has the biggest display cabinet anywhere in HK. This is also one of the most trustworthy stores in HK.
Sino Center (信和中心)
582-592 Nathan Road, Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Toy store (Animate) in the basement (via escalator) and toy stores (mostly vintage shops) on 3rd, 5th, and 9th floor (via elevator). Enter from Nathan road. It’s just around the block behind CTMA Center.
In’s Point (現時點) (or Wing Kiu Building [永橋大廈] as shown on Google Map)
~530 Nathan Road, Mong Kong, Kowloon, Hong Kong
In’s Point has a few toy stores scattered around in 2-3 levels. It is 2-3 blocks south of Sino Center along Nathan Road (turn left on Nathan road as you exit Sino center). It is also right on top of the Yau Ma Tei MTR Station (so you don’t need to walk all the way back to Mong Kok MTR when you leave).
Others:Wonderland Superstore (奇趣天地) main store
Wong Po Garden (黃埔花園)
Must take bus or van to get here. It’s near the main bus stop in Wong Po Garden. From Mong Kok on Nathon Road near Sino Center, take bus 212 or 30X all the way to the final stop (or the 2nd last stop). Refer to map in link below for more direction. This is one of the biggest and most trustworthy toy stores in HK.
