Let me know which box versions you are looking for and if you want sealed or opened MIB/complete for the 1/72 models.
I need a couple more for play and to paint up, so I don't want to be stepping on each other's toes in auctions as there are plenty of these to go around.

I passed on the blockhead. Not sure if I want it, though it's features are stunning. I was the same way about the soltic until I just sucked it up and got one. I knew all along I wanted the dougrams though, no question.
My biggest issue is that the blockhead comes in a variant style box because it is a late release - I'd like mine to match for display, but I don't think it is possible. If you want to be really particular about box variants, the 1/48 has two and the 1/72 models have three except for the blockhead which only has one from what I have been told.
It's insane how much better the 1/48 dougram is though. I thought it would just be upscaled compared to my 1/72 but it is worlds above it. In my opinion, this is the best interpretation of the dougram that you can buy.

Disassemble and coat joints with clear nail polish? Probably better than over tightening the screws, I think you are experiencing wear on the joints which can happen from play or if the joints were just too tight to begin with, they may sometimes wear down more quickly.

the first pic's just a fixed robot figure kit while the last was a combiner. i did get myself the last one ofcourse. Yes - each version above is made in a different scale model size, the combiner (shown second) is the larger kit (but in reality both are small scale kits). I thought that was obvious, but I have edited my post to reflect that.

I learned some lessons with the acetone. I ended up making my mask bubble up by leaving it too long. I didn't worry about it since the paint I was using is textured anyway, but it is noted for future builds. Here is the mask so far. The ports on it will hold glow sticks. I am making it for tomorrowworld next week. Hope to have it done today. You have to have enough room to rotate it - once you see an area getting smooth or glossy it's done and you need to turn it to the next area - unless the effect is uniform, then you want to remove the piece from the vapor completely. Also - was your plate/vapor too hot? You want it warm/hot but stabilized.

u might want to add this.. This kit was sold in two sizes (each version shown above) and I may have some extras for sale if anyone is looking for one. There are two releases of each, an original vintage issue and a reissue.

I talked to my brother and he is giving me some samurai bots and toys to add to your list. I'll post them up here sometime this week.

So yeah, I just bought the other one (US Sticker box) on eBay. I still envy your japanese version. I need to get a dead mint/mostly sealed japanese version like you did. LoL
I am collecting the American dual models MIB so I can play/display them and the japanese box versions (no big english box art sticker) so I can display those sealed in the bubbles.
One of my favorite toys now and I am super into the anime as well. It's so deep without all the robotech drama. It's very real world and still easy to follow, and it doesn't get slow either (so far, I'm through about a third of the series).

Well, as expected ebay said ship it back at my own cost. Can't seem to get anyone on the phone either to dispute how ridiculous this is when it is totally the sellers fault. I said I am not returning it and to give me a partial refund. He'll probably give me the $10, then I will leave bad feedback. First negative feedback I will have ever left too. I've even had problems before but always was treated well by the seller. This guy sucks. Amazon (where Amazon.com is the bluefin seller, not a third party) or BBTS for domestic next time, or get skilled at using Mandarake and being patient. Sorry it turned out that way, maybe someone who doesn't like to keep boxes will sell an outer box to you cheap or you will find one on eBay.

Thank you Philo! Src Maz is only $30 at Amazon too! Unfortunately i just ordered one from Amazon yesterday for $38 but they were gracious enough to credit me the difference! I love you Amazon!! They will give you a price adjustment if the price goes to a lower point on any day, 7 days or less from your purchase. And say you buy on a Monday, and you think that next Monday the price is lowest, but actually the Wednesday after you bought it was - when they check they will tell you that X day had the lowest price and adjust to that. This is only for in stock items. For preorder items, if you pre-order, you always get the lowest price offered up until the release date regardless of the date you pre-ordered or how much your pre-order price was.

Are you looking to buy these?
I got the thunder megazord when it was new and it is one of my favorite ranger series bots. (Not selling this one).
I do however have sealed bludgeon (the best color deco for this mode and most samurai looking in my opinion) and the red shattered glass drift (unused in box, the TF club items don't come "sealed") and I believe I even have the regular white drift sealed. Those three I can let go.
All the figures you have mentioned are very good examples though. My brother likes a lot of stuff like this, I will ask him if there are any similar types of figures that you don't have listed.

Thanks for sharing and sorry you had a bad experience too. I'm worried the same thing will happen if I escalate the case. What's weird is that the ebay money back guarantee says the seller is responsible for return shipping, but I think that is for all cases of item not as described except for shipping damage. I may be SoL here. If he was a US seller and shipping was just going to cost $15 I'd eat it and just kick myself for taking a stupid chance on a Japanese seller. But with shipping something like this so costly, I can't have that. I'd still argue that it's not shipping damage. The post office didn't destroy the outer box, right? They did not damage the item. The failure to pack and secure the item properly caused the item to incur damage and the shipping service can't be blamed for that. The sellers negligence caused you to receive an item that was not as described because it no longer matches the condition it was in when you purchased it based on the listing description and the pictures.

If the picture in the listing looks completely different from the actual condition of the item you received (due to the poor shipping job) continue with the dispute.
Work with eBay/Paypal and do not contact the seller directly unless they tell you to do so.
I would expect a refund of at least $40 or more, or conduct the full return with tracking through eBay/Paypal, get your money back and ask that you be reimbursed for return shipping. The item is no longer as described due to the seller's lack of care for an expensive item, not because the postal service damaged it.
Did you buy it internationally? If it came from the US the $60 shipping cost plus the circumstances would have kept me from buying. If it is international, tell them you want a partial refund of $60 or greater because of the large cost you would incur returning it.

Got my Daitarn last week. Cool figure and the colors are great. He's much shorter than I expected. But fun fact, the ebay seller "correlations" sucks! No packing material whatsoever! What a moron. I would file a dispute for a partial refund. That is just laziness on his part. Unacceptable.

I've given it some thought and I think I'm going to pass on this. I was really excited back when respect for volt came out but I already have two vintage DX Voltes, more vintage to buy, and I really want the Arcadia that's coming out.

Acetone vapor bath refines the piece by smoothing the surface and helping to erode the rough surfaces from printing, and also strengthens it. Cool! So, how is it done? Do I just submerge the piece in Acetone? Do I brush it on and leave it? What is the proper way to do an Acetone vapor bath? }D As coldiron said its complex. It's all done by heating and you don't want to overheat. You use wires and wear gloves and goggles and preferably do it outside. The vaporized acetone is literally what you work with in a large glass cylinder and you need to work quickly other wise your piece will be eaten away. I have had people do it for me, I have yet to do it myself. My brother and I actually just imported a machine that will do it for us. It was pretty expensive. It should be here in less than a month. We will see how well it works, some of our friends got one also.
