Bambaland should put Ray up for pre-order this year, most likely this Fall, according to someone from ThreeA on their board. No idea how long until we can hold this beast in our own hands.
They say he won't have a tail because ThreeA got the license for Metal Gear Solid 4 models (and it was tail-less in this game), but Rex didn't have its giant rail gun in MGS4 and look what we got. However, the first pics of Rex did show the gun and there's no sign of Ray's tail anywhere, so a surprise tail accessory may just be wishful thinking. But I'll keep on wishin'.

According to an already somewhat oldish september post from the ThreeA blog, preorders for Metal Gear Ray are going up in december.

Man, if I ran across Rex in HK, I wonder if there would be some way to safely fit him into my luggage. I have a feeling this would be a ship only item.

Good to know. Guess I won't nothing hunting for it then. I have one bag of luggage for brining stuff back.

No word on Ray yet. However, It looks like threezero ( other half of the threeA partnership) is coming out with something that's closer to home to any super robot collector.
