That's like the 9th Gordian within less than 2 years. It may be more plentiful than the Battle Fever. I rarely see one with the figure though so maybe that's why the price went so high. Interesting how the missiles are different. There are three long vane and 1 short vane ones. Didn't see if it came with the instructions either. Looks like the winner of that doesn't have much feedback either. I'm somewhat skeptical of the purchase.

What's driving up the prices is the Chinese economy....... Plain and simple. There are just as many Jumbos now as there were 10 years ago.

I think that Doublas on yhj went for a good price. Although a crack, not often you can get one for that price.

219,000Y is a steal which makes me wonder if someone noticed something I didn't. I expected 4-5k.

Things just keep getting further and further out of reach. Careful with asking jm guys into die cast…it could make your prices insane too.
I really should have snagged a few more when I had the opportunity to, I hope my children understand the sacrifices I have made for them.lol

Remember when that loose Daltanious with almost a broken leg connector went for 420,000 Yen? Doesn't seem that expensive now.

The reason diecasts won't ever be as much as jumbos is cause most diecasts are way more plentiful. So yes, good advise Ginrai for those who want to save money. Diecasts were also easier to store and didn't take as much space. Although the DX Tetsujin is a rather large piece, it being imported in the states as a godaikin make it rather plentiful.
In my opinion, the macross Valkyries are somewhat overpriced considering Takatoku made over a million of those. Those toys are just simply awesome though.
I wonder how much the prices of jumbos would be different if the shogun warriors line continued. I think that may be my next what if question. If the line continued, who would they have released? I think Grendizer, Combattler, Dangard Ace may have been next. Wish someone who worked for Mattel back then could chime in.

I agree, I was expecting $1200 to $1500 on him. Seriously thought about it, but finding the parts he was missing would be incredibly hard. Or hiw would you even ask someone to borrow theirs so that you could have the parts reproed?

I actually think the DX T-28 Godaikin and popy, but godaikin especially are overpriced. I finally took the plunge on one at a high (but not ebay high) price and it had some historical extras that made passing it up too hard. But that toy for us is like fortress Maximus from transformers. Big and overpriced. They're always around in any condition, and unless you're getting one that's case fresh and flawless, I can't see how people pay as much as they do for it.

The Getta 3 looks like it would have been an easy toy to bootleg. I'm guessing because he wasn't such a popular toy or robot back in the day, no one bothered. May be the only diecast and jumbo that has stickers for the eyes. I wonder how hard it would be to repro the bottom part.
The one that just sold looked like it was in good condition stickers looked okay for the age of the toy.
Someone should repro him cause I"m guessing many collectors have incomplete looking Getta teams with just Getta 1 and 2. To me, there's just something off of not having all 3 robots together on display.
Ginrai. I'm guessing part of the reason DX T-28 is overpriced is because it is one hell of a toy. Most detailed and fun diecast piece in my opinion. Not only is it awesome looking, it's also got so many mechanisms to play with. I always wondered if this was a toy that was bootlegged at all. I'm guessing no because of all the many parts to it and having magnets probably made it harder to bootleg as well.

I think it was too large overall and too intricate for them to bother.

I may kick myself later for not bidding more on it. So a warning to whoever did win, don't ask me for help with it ;-)

Ha. I also just noticed that Getta 3 has Getta 2's claw hand. That hand actually fits really well with Getta 3. Didn't even notice because it looked so good.

I lost the link but the Leo and taro lot was a very good deal on YHJ. About 500,000 yen which to me is a steal in that condition.
