What is up with the platform shoes? That's how he's supposed to look like! I agree , this is how he should look. Just like G1 the cab of the truck are his feet. Gonna try to pick it up. And those new pictures of devestator are great.

I pre-ordered the Takara-Tomy CW Superion set. Do you think that the Perfect Effect black hands and feet add-ons will look good on it?

I'm really diggin' CW Protectobots and Leader Magnus! I even think that Hasbro Defensor looks better than TFC's Prometheus.
Kudos, Hasbro!

Some thoughts after the official reveals: - I believe Hasbro has finally gotten back in the game with this new Combiners War theme. What would be great to see next is that they release new characters or mine the existing tf universe for more diversity. And more decepticons, please! - Devastator and the rest of the new teams look very promising but what hurts is the steep price tag. I (and the rest of the fans) may be asking too much for a cheaper price point but given the fact that the toys have 3 different functions, the engineering and balancing play value, aesthetics and production costs, I think its only fair for them to mark it at that price. - from their previous experience with Sandstorm, they did the same thing with Cyclonus and it looks good. Only wish that they ditched the "shield-gun" gimmick and replaced it with an updated Nightstick from the perfect deluxe version of Cy. - Ultra Magnus looks great. Looks like the Masterpiece version has competition thanks to the Minimus Ambus companion piece. Looks like 2015 is going to be an interesting and exciting year for the TF community and toy enthusiasts

Its called Viper, and is supposed to resemble a Cobra "Rattler". I believe it's a crossover with GI-Joe? Somebody please correct me.

I might get that Devastator, it's the largest so far and will go with Feral rex and Warbotron plus at $150 it won't break the bank plus I KNOW there will be 3rd party add-ons for it.

I like the Devastator having little silly colorings just like the original G1, such as the Bonecrusher's treads still being solid green, Scavenger's being blue/purple, and Long Haul still being one of the old style giant mining dump trucks. Loving it.

Saw the limbs and armada leader Meg's. They look good in person. Going to wait for a bogo sale to get them though.

Nice and big but too rich for me. That Devaststor is well over $150 retail from what I remember. I pretty much stopped collecting official releases because they are just too expensive. It's cheap if you can resist and buy a select few but if you go all in and get everything, it adds up big time. The limb parts for each one of these combiners have raised to $20 a pop. Back to 15$ when you find a bogo half off deal. A combiners set at the cheapest is well over $85. Then mutilply by 3 cause there are 3 sets and we are over $250. Then you got them small Legends class toys that also are optional and combine, they $10 a pop. Leader class stuff like Megatron and Ultra Magnus runs around $45 a piece. It's just all adds up so I am moving away from buying official stuff and putting my money on 3rd party stuff. I much rather pay $150 for a MP Style Megatron. And instead of 3 set of combiners I rather buy a couple of 3P Dinobots. Quality over quantity, rather have fewer nicer looking collectible versus the regular run of the mills toys for little boys.

hey guys just a heads up, right now Amazon has Combiner Wars Quickslinger(slingshot) and Break-neck(Wilride) the original members of there respective teams Aerialbots and Stunticons available for order. this guys are only available trough online like Amazon, target, walmart, toy's r us, ect. So get them while there still up. Transformers Boys Generations Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Brake-Neck FigureTransformers Boys Generations Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Quickslinger Figurewhile from time to time the order run out, Amazon has been restocking it little by little so people can order it. I already order mine (1 of each) so if you want to have the original missing team that was replace with new transformers (Alpha Bravo and Off-Road. you can do so now Also Takara of Japan has announce Devastator and Defensor for there United Warrior line, while the only pics we see from both of them is just silhouettes. The one that is calling more attention is Defensors right leg. It seems just like what they did to add Slingshot and Wildride as the proper members for the aerialbots and stunticons respectively, The protectobots will have a deluxe size Groove as the original right leg like the old G1 instead of a chest like Hasbro did here in the western side to base it more on the IDW comics. For the looks of it Takara might be using the biker mold that has been rumored to be use for Computron later on in some of the Hasbro info, and there is no doubt that possibly this deluxe groove might be release here for the western side just like Slingshot and Wildride(Quickslinger and Break-neck). So for those that wanted groove as a leg and have defensor more g1, be happy because now we are getting it.

I really don't like how hollow this figure is I think I'll save my money for Takara Defensor instead.

So now I have a whole Superion, I have to say I like this line. At least this set of figures. They finally captured the essence of G1 the way they were supposed to. I don't mean by look, but by simple transformation. There is nothing to changing these mode to mode, and combining them. I will still collect 3rd party stuff I like, but these are sort of zen in the way I can fiddle with them and not worry bout messing anything up. I might get defensor, but I want to see how the new bruticus comes out. Other than that, I doubt i will get any others unless they are on clearance, even though some of them have decent bot modes.
