So a little upset on this figure, I finally moved to a new house and find time to out my collection in my detolf and while my Bandai stuff is always nice and reliable the fewture stuff is doing well I decided to open this beast from his cage (box) to display next to fewture black getter and else. All is good looking real good pull the plastic up and pull him up. Then I realize his right foot decided to stay on the box... Smh.... was not pissed but more frustrated maybe? I didn’t know how to feel upon further investigation I took the foot out and see the cover of the back of the pin is out and this let the foot to come loose... At that moment me being the handyman I am... grab Liquidnail and proceed to glue the damn thing back. Making sure the ball joint is free enough so hopefully I can move the foot around in two days or so will let the glue dry pretty good and see what happens. Final thoughts... after that I put the wings and didn’t even bother to messed with him in the torso after watching what happens if you dare. Should not be that hard to play with him after all I just paid +300 for it...(sarcasm and irony all together here folks)
Last product from sentinel to say the least for me...

Now comes to my head that I have two figures that have the ol’ liquid nail trick to the rescue next to each other as my black getter left leg came loose long time ago while I was posing him... I shower liquid nail to the black getter leg pin and voila! 4 years later still holding strong and that leg won’t go nowhere...didn’t loose mobility or articulation and holds pretty strong. Just funny that’s all...

The thing is most of us know it’s delicate and I get it... it’s not a toy for sure but when it comes out of the box and it’s messed up makes you doubt about said product. Such a night and day difference especially when couple minutes before I dare to play with shin getter I was posing and playing with gx71 voltron. That’s when you realize a giant like Bandai takes this seriously. Hopefully your gravion will come in great shape and no more hiccups with this figures. Other than that this shin is a beauty and I love the way it looks behind glass.

I haven't had any problem yet but seems like a good option... if I get to see a review of this one, I might fall for it...

So, is that a option part set or another release? What's up with the waist piece? Does that address the waist joint problem? Is this even a Sentinel release?

Looks like 3rd party made this for the Sentinel Shin Getter, so it's not officially from Sentinel themselves. But it does look like it may fix the waist problem on these figures.

I got the diecast replacement torso joint for my Shin Getter and it works amazing. Prior to that, I had to jam some paper to keep the joint from popping out all the time.

May I know what the problem with the joint? I dont know anything about that. Maybe mine just not popping yet? Should i get that replacement just in case? Where can i buy that replacement parts? That mid torso ball joint was only meant for ab crunch or side to side bend, but not a waist swivel horizontally (mentioned in instructions, I remember). But it is commonly assumed that it is a regular waist swivel like other figures, so when people twist it, the half cup dislocate from the ball and pops off the top half at the mid torso. It is an easy fix, if you know the trick and can pop it right back (search early page 18 of this thread if you want the details). The new joint parts probably turn it into a swivel waist joint, and no longer pops off.

The regular socket does have swivel, but it's honestly like 45 degrees either way. You feel it when it's at its limit but I'm sure there are people who thought that maybe it was just being tight or something and went further. I'm all for changing it out, but I honestly just don't like the thought of essentially breaking the figure to do so since I haven't had any problems yet. ------------------------------------------------------------------- This kit shipped out very fast, btw. Next day but I chose airmail and am not expecting it anytime soon. EMS was more than the kit itself, lol.
