If anyone wants a STL file for my Shin Getter axe, just shoot me an email. I think it works better with the modern design of the Sentinel Shin Getter. All I ask is that you don't share my design on public platforms, please! Don't want that Titan Power Voltron issue to happen to me!

Does anyone see an actual difference with the helmet?. What helmet? On a listing it'd said something about a helmet piece being included so i assumed an alternate head.

This came in yesterday and man... it's huge. Can't even lie. It's certainly the axe in particular that this should've come with and makes for a hell of a display but fact is I really don't have room anywhere for it at 17" long now. f**king monstrous though and I'll try to get sme shots this weekend.
The scythe is significantly larger now too but it really doesn't have the holy sh*t feel of the new axe.
The wing part is literally just a 1:1 replacement for the piece inside of the backpack that the wings connect to but it's diecast instead. If you had no problems with the wig like me it's a pointless piece.
The ab connector replacement looks to change the way that the balljoint connects but not having used it I can't speak on added articulation yet.
Plastic quality and quality are 1:1 with the Sentinel stuff. The axe parts actually replace the ones that came with and tab in themselves while the scythe is a cover for the one that came with.
Overall, even for the weapons it's well worth it. Now everyone can have a very feasible weapons set.

If you had no problems with the wig like me it's a pointless piece... I believe the wing joint is meant to add more articulation, so wings can bend backwards in angles the original set up cannot do. That's how it was described in Chinese.

Thanks Mpchi. Reading that, I do rwmember seeing hinges on the piece but I guess I forgot that the other piece DIDN'T do that. I honestly just put the wings down after rebiewing to to save space and have displayed it that way. Will check it out more when I get home. Quick pic i took putting it together.

That Proto-Shin-1 is simply a must for me reminds me a bit of the Daikessen Training unit

Meeeehhh as i said when i got the Shin Dragon, im done with sentinel, way too expensive for what they offer, CCS toy put the flag way too high price/quality/accesories in comparison with Sentinel imho, also, market is getting over saturated of getter, every company wants to release their own vers and i love Getters

I really like what they're doing here. For years now what sentinel has been doing has been to invent new gimmicks for their figures, so they have something unique, not just another of what a bunch of companies have already made a bunch of times. I think they excel at that, with things like grendizer's spacer armor, mazinger's unique scranter, and recently shin getter dragon's booster gimmicks. This is something that was noticeably missing from their original shin getter, since it was one of their earlier figures. This rectifies that, with not only a (finally) good looking tomahawk, but the various ways it can combine with the figure in unique ways, offering something exclusive to the sentinel version. The new color variant is also nice to get for the many that already own the original release. Gotta say, I'm impressed. Good job sentinel

And in case people didn't catch it in the text, the red Shin Getter 1 is fully painted this time. An issue that many collectors had beef with on their initial release with just bare red plastic with surface treatment, as nice as it was. Just FYI.

Tons of info on the Sentinel blog post. ameblo.jp/sen-ti-nel-info/entry-12824925828.htmlIncluding mention of the mid torso joint fix. Hard to tell with the image, but in the description, with the new change, it can now be twisted horizontally as a swivel at that joint (which was a no no in the old one and caused the upper red torso dislocation). They pretty much removed the ball and half socket connection that can pop off, and replaced with a screwed-in connection (the little screw peeking out in the image). See below images, with that twisted pose would have dislocated the red top torso normally. Preorders of the red Renewal is up in many Japanese shops now. The white Prototype is a Sentinel Store Exclusive, preorders open starting Oct 30th - Nov 29th in Japan. Most likely you'll be able to purchase it through D4Toys, which is more or less Sentinel's webstore (especially for overseas folks like us).

this is the best shin getter out there IMO. Probably they will fix the balljoint issue (mine never had any issue but some have adressed it). If I were to get one shin getter this one would be my first option now.

If I were to get one shin getter this one would be my first option now. Totally. Even without the upgrade, I always considered this Riobot the top Shin Getter 1 in the market (but with its flaws and shortcomings). Many years later, I have yet find a Shin Getter 1 head sculpt as nice as this one (you'll understand if you own one). But now with the new paint finish, torso joint fix (no issue on mine either, because I read the instructions LOL), new optional wing joints that give the wings better articulation, and the new axe/wing combo for more playability, this is a must buy for me (already ordered). The original has served me very well through the years, and brought me a lot of joy. Hopefully this Renewal version is as good as it claims, then my old one can retire and go to a close friend's collection. Just look at this headsculpt! And Riobot's came years before the others, and still can't be topped.

Also, here in my country selling mine is almost impossible (robots are not popular), and from here shipping to other countries is a giant risk, so I'm stuck with my beloved first edition. But Please share yours when it arrives
