Only slight disappointment is the size. 27cm combined is not that big, for something that is supposed to be very big. I was expecting at least 30-35cm. But I am buying this for sure. Been waiting for a couple decades for this.

While I am very glad this is the iteration we are getting for the first transformable King J-Der gokin, it was such a missed opportunity for Bandai not trying this for the past years when they had their chance, especially as a follow up to GX-68 GGG. Was it so hard? All Sentinel needed was a smaller set of swappable legs for the small J-Der. The rest of the engineering is easy peasy for what Bandai could do. King J-Der was a pretty popular bot in GGG, and one with very few toys, let alone a gokin. They could have made a killing with it. Now Sentinel can get all that cash from me instead.
Now I wonder where would be a good place to order this, or if it will be another D4 Toys exclusive, since it is a Hobby Japan release. Cause my SRX from D4Toys is just ready to ship, but they can only ship it reasonably with Surface Parcel (2-3 months) due to HK EMS restricting to 2KG or under. FedEx is like more than US$400 to ship. Don't want King J-Der to have to go through Surface as well, if I don't have to.

So while it is not big like we hoped (like the old Takara DX toy), at least it is not small. 27cm about on par with SOC GGG's height. Maybe a tad taller even. It does look spectacular.

Initially I was a bit conflicted about this being transformable as I really wanted it to be ‘all about that robot mode’ (if only to be in sync with their Genesic). But man, seeing that glorious J-Ark and a J-Der that can ride it, this is shaping up to be a great release. Fingers crossed the change of designer/team results in upgraded engineering but not in downgraded coloring and paintwork. Oh, one nitpick: J-Der seems to sport non-swappable unarticulated stumps for hands. Sure, it’s a 4 inch figure but it’s 2022. Guess Naka-Move never heard of China-based unlicensed Transformers company Iron Factory. Either way, it’s fine; I would still want a seperate 7 inch J-Der at some point

YES. Well someone has a seven figure salary Joking aside, a Titan Class figures opens up stability issues, not just cost. Three Zero have delayed their Ideon over half a year because of this.

YES. Well someone has a seven figure salary YES. If you mean my salary can afford me seven diecast figures a year. Yeah, I was just searching about Ideon to see if there was any update just a few weeks ago. Found nothing. That was my most anticipated figure of last year, didn't expect it to push back so far that, I don't even know if we'll see it this year. But I am not sure if it is just because of the size. Or they just want to give it more time to get more people to preorder. It was a big release with big name Takeya, big price tag, and a big figure afterall with a lot of detail and diecast. But don't really know what's going on. As of King J-Der, titan TF size might be pushing it. But I would like it to be at least around the old DX Takara size, if I have a choice. Very big, but still small enough to swooosh the J-Ark around without being too big or heavy. It was roughly around 40cm tall. As ugly as the Takara one was, I like the toy very much because it is very fun to play and transform.

Not sure how big titan TFs run these days, but King J-Der would only have to be 84 cm tall to be in scale with GX-68. Just throwing that out there. :)
Personally, I think 27 cm is a good size for this beast, and I dig the details and opening hatches.

Some stores locked them now but for the longest time it was available for pre-order at many online stores, and it went up at a lot of stores. I've seen the date of 30 September mentioned at some online retailers but that's probably a placeholder they put themselves, rather than official news from Threezero.

I ordered directly from Threezero store. So hopefully I'll get updates as soon as the product is ready. But with HK not able to ship EMS on anything over 2KG (probably new COVID restrictions), hopefully it won't affect this guy's release. Or it may need to go through Surface mail and add another 2-3 months to the wait LOL, whenever that may happen.

While I’ll admit that I was suprised at the 27cm size, I am just glad companies like Sentinel exist that don’t care for (lineair) scale. It’s stupid in the unlicensed Transformers ‘masterpiece’ scene and more often than not those bigger bots come off as oversized KO’s. And we’re not even talking about the exponential increase in weight; even at 27cm this guy - well technically speaking - could be twice as heavy as Genesic Ggg (who is 21cm tall, giver or take 1cm). Ofcourse they’re gonna make him less heavy because he needs to transform. But at the least, he’s gonna be twice as big in volume/space. I can already say, from experience, that even while being only 20-25% taller, he’s gonna feel signifcantly bigger, while not looking underdetailed. And that’s all that matters for me.

Fortress Maximus is about 60cm. Unicron about 70cm. Ha! They must look like strange robot children. I don't think I have anything much over 30cm tall. The 1/144 Ideon Jumbo Vinyl I have is 73cm. Probably the one really large toy I sometimes covet. Even with its flaws, that thing is awesome.
