Holy...that's very pricey. Is it a gokin toy? The only diecast is in the joints seen in the prototype in the first post. As for this toy, what the hell is Megahouse smoking? That has gotta be a typo. This thing is nowhere nearly as large as any of Arcadia's 1/60 offerings, isn't as intricately engineered, will probably have far worse QC as we've come to expect from Megahouse.

Well, we may be able to cross our fingers for some mass discounts when this toy does not sell well. I could use an updated Orgroid at about half the price they are asking...or even less.

Looks like it ain't a typo at all. I really-really-really wonder what's the catch here.

Considering the price of their D-Spec stuff (pictured even on the same page) which is already $80-90 and is in the same size and build quality range as Kotobukiya's $30 D-style model kits, the fact that this costs about 3 times as much as it probably should isn't all that surprising.
It's a pity CM's went the way of the dodo before they could release their own Orguss figures. Or maybe it isn't a pity. CM's was so expensive and hit and miss with their quality (much like ... hmmm... Megahouse...) that any release from them was quite a gamble.

with this price tag.....even when it hit a slump in sales.....im imagining it will still be too expensive even if it ends up on the sales bin. poor marketing strategy.

Megahouse thinks it's in the same league as Arcadia, Sentinel, and Hot Toys now.
*sigh*

An 18-cm Orguss costing over 30K yen?
Nope. No, sorry, I can't accept it, it is way off the scale. Should cost a third of that, no more than half the price listed anyway. Heck, SoC GaoGaiGar is gonna be cheaper! And that's a beast of a figure!
I really don't understand this price...

It looks promising by the pictures but the hi tag price puts me off.

It's pretty insulting when you can get a deadstock vintage 1/40 DX Orguss for less than half of what retail is on this piece, and the vintage one is nearly twice the size.

There's a nice level of detail going on there. I like it. But I won't buy it for 30K.
Maybe we'll see a price drop, if not many people buy it, who knows...

Price is bankrupt. and... no articulated hands ? Screw are too much visible IMO... -> Bandai should create a DX Chogokin vintage line : same engineering as DX Chogokin Macross F line, same quality and ok, same price...
