Price is bankrupt. and... no articulated hands ? Screw are too much visible IMO... -> Bandai should create a DX Chogokin vintage line : same engineering as DX Chogokin Macross F line, same quality and ok, same price... I thought nobody notice the screws.....

Pictures looks promising....it looks really nice on the 3 modes. Though i never watch the anime but I remember how this was when I was a mere kid. I remember seeing them (Macross & Orguss) on the toy aisle but didnt pay attention to Orguss coz i didnt watch the anime. Somehow I couldnt connect, until now, I still couldnt connect with the enormous TAG Price.....lol:-)

I still think it will go for deeper discounts given the price. So, here's hoping it doesn't sell well and goes for even less later on. I'll consider it for 15,000ish JPY. Maybe.

Love Orguss but for that price I expect it to be at least a foot tall and have tons of diecast like Sentinel's Gorg or Yamato's Ingram.

Interesting to see they covered so much details in the press event and interview conversation. But I just don't trust the quality of the Hi-Spec line, since I've been burnt twice. And that price tag is just asking way too much. As iconic as Orguss is, I wouldn't pay over 15000yen for a very well made specimen, given the size and not so complex nature of the mech.

Totally agree about the insane price tag, but im guessing why theyre asking way too much. Orguss makers are soo limited that they can jack off theyre asking price insanely. Unlike the Macross franchise theres a competition between Arcadia former Yamato and Bandai. With that said, Im still NOT convince and aint going to bite that frickin price tag. Its just way too much!

It is just an insane hike, as the former less complex Hi-Spec range around 10000-15000yen. We are not even talking about doubling the price, but more like tripling. Its 37000+ yen. Even Sentinel was considered real cheap in comparison. Its just a weird/ballsy take from Mega House. Rather than luring in more buyers with borderline acceptable pricing (what CM's tried to do, but fail more often than not), they went for pure shock value LOL. And Orguss is not even as complex as a Valk. Only thing making it slightly more complex than a standard figure is the flip open torso for the flying mode. The rest are just tugging arms and legs in odd positions to be make-believe tanks and gerwalk. Guess I'll just be content with the Takatoku, until this shows up in 50-60% OFF bargain bin. What a shame...

im already giving a big props to the lucky guy who will get this "controversial" Hi-spec release. please make a review. maybe theres something really, really, really good that would justify it to have a price tag of that insanely 37000 yen hehehe. perhaps we are just judging the figure too early?... lol

My brother and I had the non DX orguss as kids and we loved it. Now this is coming out and it looks cool and all but damn that price. Plus Megahouse isn't really on the top of list when it comes to quality.

The secret and true reason for the wallet-rape price is that after you take the toy out of the box, there's a hidden flap somewhere on the box that most people will ignore. If you are one of the few who will find that hidden flap, you'll get a golden ticket to Japan to be a test pilot for the secret 1/1 Orguss that's under development by the JSDF.

Looks exactly like my 1/40 Takatoku, just with harder lines and more of an anime/satin paint finish.
