Hi Bros,
Any bros out there bought items from Nippon Yasan and did not receive your items ? I Preorder my item ( Metal structure fin funnel option set ) back in Dec 2019 and request to pay in full.I used credit card to pay.The item released in Jun 2020, In July I ask them why my item not ship and was told need to change to EMS and paid extra than able ship, so I did... But after the payment was made they did not ship... thier customer service is a joke, they will not respond to email,or ticket issued and their online chat service alway said they always have the same excuses say very limited info on the shipment, and due to covid 19 delay on the shipment ..only thing they can do is to inform their team on my request.. so every week ask their online chat , and they will give the same answer.. If you paid the item using credit card only able to raise a dispute within 90 days , paid using Paypal good for 180 days.. How Im I get my money back? And their site still put up new items for sale..
Any bros ordered from Nippon Yasan and get your items recently? There many complaint on their facebook , Twitter site... but they did not respond. Please help to spread this info and aware others not to buy from them.

Sorry to hear that, Borg. It's unfortunate that such a shoddy seller might be the only chance someone has to get something.

I had a similar experience with them this year. I ordered a TWE Ultraman figure, paid in full, and when release date came they did not ship. I actually had two figures on order, the other was regular retail. At first it seemed like I just needed to wait until SAL shipping to the the USA resumed, but eventually I decided to upgrade the shipping. The regular retail figure shipped, and I do have it in hand now. The other figure never changed status. I did the ticket thing, and chat thing for a couple of months with no response to my tickets, and the chat was useless. I'm pretty certain they took my money, but weren't able to secure enough stock to fill my order for the TWE figure, and are playing a game to hold onto the money. Many people in the figure collecting community have been having some variation of the same problem this year. I went through my cc company to get a charge back, but it's still unresolved. If you can't get a charge back, you're basically screwed out of your money. I wouldn't recommend using them ever again. I won't be.

Sorry that you are going through that but you are definitely not alone. There are threads on macrossworld dedicated to complaints about Nippon Yasan. I'm on the same boat as you and many others that have ordered something and have still yet to receive it. Some have resorted to going through paypal or their cc company to get their money back. As others have stated, the general recommendation these days is to steer clear of Nippon Yasan. It's really sad to see a business such as that devolve to what it is now.

That’s too bad sucks to hear about it. I remember them being like one of TWE websites to go too. Haven’t ordered from them in awhile but I definitely won’t be using NY as an option anymore.

EMS is still in limbo as far as I know. I had to submit multiple tickets to change shipping to DHL, paid for the extra, then they shipped pretty quickly after that.
Just be diligent with communication. Submit ticket. Submit ticket. Submit ticket. They don’t respond any other way.
I don’t think they’re trying to scam you but they’re likely just behind and slow to catch up to issues like this.

Took me months to finally get my SoC Renewal Leopardon.
I only went with them as it was sold out everywhere else.
So yeah,I can understand your frustration with said site.

I have to admit that this worries me a little bit since I have preordered a DX Voltes V from NY. This COVID may or may not compound company issues, if any.
The only thing working for me is that I am well within Paypal or credit card protection since I just paid for it a few days ago. I just need to be diligent on the follow up, I guess.
I've been a customer since 2012 with zero issues. I'm hoping it stays that way. (crossing fingers)
Has anybody here actually been scammed? (except borg001) It seems like you got your items eventually - COVID, poor CS and all.

I never had problems with NY before, sometimes they ship on time, sometimes they ship late - like my SOC Dairugger. Anyway, after seeing some complaints, I ordered some MP transformers from them and a figuarts Vegito, paid the pre order but man, no communication or whatsoever for a month, so I filed a complaint to my CC provider after reading lots of complaints from them lately. My CC provider refunded me as there was no communication from them and this was over 90 days - so I got lucky. NY cancelled my account - but hey, I won't be using them anymore.
Man, that sucks for the Metal Structure Fin funnel - we're you able to source one? It looks dead gorgeous when attached to RX-93. I hope you get an answer soon thats a bummer!

It's not worth it for NY anymore. They used to be good, if a bit slow, but they've gone downhill in the past year. I had two pre-orders they could not fulfill. Asked for a refund, and received store credit. Picked an in-stock item to just be done with it. Ordered, took my payment and sat on it for 1 month. Their customer support system is non-existant. They have the online chat, but those guys cannot do anything other than escalate your ticket. Had to open a ticket for chargeback from PP, still waiting on resolution.
It's just not worth the hassle with them. I'm out about $400+ with them, I have no hope of ever seeing that cash back.
Please don't even try with them. Just do a quick google check, there are multiple threads on them from Macross forums, figure forums, reddit, etc.
I started ordering from them back in 2012 and they were fine, good alternative if you missed the pre-order windows with the other sites, if you were willing to wait. Somethings happened to them since and it's just not worth the risk. Do as you will, but not worth the hassle in my opinion.

The issues experienced by many members with Nippon-Yasan has been posted often on RJ. It's unfortunate and something that is unexplainable for a vendor that many of us used to buy regularly from.
I went through a gong-show to get my SoC Rollerskatestron and had to sic Visa after them before my amount was refunded. I have not bought from them since nor do I recommend using them for anyone.

I also had a big issue with NY when I preordered the gx-71 reissue and gx-88. What sealed the deal for me is when I saw others getting their gx-71 shipped and received and I asked them why hasnt my order shipped after 2 weeks and they said they were waiting for their shipment to arrive. Instantly I filed a case with pp and got my money back very quickly. I know if you cancel an order from them, they can ban you from buying from them again but I had no plans to after that bs they feed me about their shipment. Wouldnt recommend them to anyone but different strokes for different folks. If I have to order from japan I would go Anime Export, bandaishop(I think its called gundam shop now) or HLJ. Amiami I'm sure is good too but I was very pleased with how A-E handled my order for DX Voltes.

To the OP: You should have credit card protection offered directly from Visa/Mastercard/AMEX that is linked to your PayPal. Go through the latter and I'm sure they will step in. It was very easy and straightforward.
PayPal is frankly, useless.

It b was very easy and straightforward. PayPal is frankly, useless. You got that right. Sometimes I wonder why I use PayPal in first place, they let me down after a puny $23 charge I got a double charge. I talk to them and explain but “based on my history and shopping habits, we could not find something wrong” like wtf! I just told you I made a mistake and to please take it back but no...... gave you a ticket and at the end “ don’t find nothing wrong”..... I am so mad I guess at least now I know what to expect and be very careful of spending more than $100. Smh go talk to you CC man. Don’t waste time ...

Today, I've filed a PayPal dispute against Nippon-Yasan (NY) for my preordered DX Voltes V.
Even though NY replied to one of my previous messages where they said that the DX V5 is not in stock yet, I just do not have the confidence in them any longer. Why is everybody else's stock accounted for and sold out already whereas NY has none???
I don't do Facebook but after scanning NY's FB page, yikes!!! It doesn't look good.
Do you guys think that Nippon-Yasan is still a legit seller that's just overwhelmed OR are they now just scamming people? I can see some people that would just give up because the amount is not worth their time. That's money in NY's pockets.

Dang must be terrible management or turnover there were people don’t give AF anymore. Sucks hope you get your money back Thanks! I don't think I'll have issues with the refund though. I've only paid them last December 10 so it's well within the time period. What really sucks is that I won't have my 2nd DX V5 now. I'll just have to keep an eye out on USA shops now.

Part of the reason they get stock later compared to others is they're not located in the main island. How behind they are in receiving stock may also depend on other factors such as do the shipments come directly from the factory or does it make a pit stop somewhere else in Japan. Either way, there was a post in another forum from another retailer in Japan stating a rumor that the former boss or employee absconded with a large amount of money from the company some time last year. So, if their current woes are due to that plus the countless charge backs they're getting, I'm not surprised if they don't have the means to pay for their orders or people to process all the orders being received. Just stay away from them going forward because it doesn't seem the situation will get any better with them.
