It is really so sad that it has come to this with Nippon Yasan. I started shopping with them almost 10 years ago and they were excellent. Great service and prices and they shipped out fast back then. The last order I placed was just over a year ago for two items that supposedly were in stock. They never shipped. I hounded them for four months to get them to fulfill my order. Finally I had enough and got a refund after threatening them with a Pay Pal dispute. I now consider myself extremely lucky that I got reimbursed. The last order that I got from them was the super strike packs for the Bandai DX 1/48 Valkyrie. After that I stopped using them. I feel guilty that I got my order and money refunded while so many here on the forums and elsewhere have been left out in the cold. I am glad to hear that Bandai is cutting them off. I just hope that Japanese authorities catch wind of all this and investigate them.

It just sucks that when shops go down like that, it is always the customers that suffer, and rarely the shop will fulfill or refund outstanding orders and just take your money and leave. Not the first time I experienced this. Last time cost me a DX Combattler V.

Do you have the source for this official news especially the one from Bandai? Got it from Bandai I really hope NY is trying to surface positively from this by organizing and giving refunds / sending orders they could get, but the absence of communication + numbers of complains make me consider they are running away from responsabilities, and yeah, turns too a giant scam... The doubt remains because they sent me SOC Arcadia in january and refund recently the DX Volt in box.

Small update : I called paypal and explain the situation that NY is taking preorders, pushed the release date to pass beyond the paypal 180 days discaliming period, etc. I told them I had 1 refund form them and also 1 case in hold (waiting an answer from them through paypal contest process. Paypal started to related all cases together and pushed the close cases (180 days period) to review status by a paypal expert. -> I had to explain that mostly of the orders are not products I am buying and were not shipped but preorders (yes in 2021 paypal need to learn)they won't get. And also route paypal to the trust pilot complains, etc... To be continued. ADVICE TO ALL MEMBERS, stop buying preorders with pay now method, better pay a litle bit more with a pay later option. some shops are not providing this; I know, but this is the best solution to buy safely NY was a shop we all buy confidently and see how it turned badly. We all are in a collector consumption flow with preorders spreaded in a year, month, etc, with the habit, like me, to blindly follow several toy lines, considering it's an OK percent spent of what I get with my salary, but in my case, it was like more than 1000 USD (yes, 1 thousand USD). When you start gathering what you preordered, it is not small budget someztimes. Quickly and I am done : it's eaqual to 1 month of good living( depending of the country), investment for the house, the kids, holydays with wife, gf... ... The positive of this case is I want to slow down the machine here, buy less, collect better and also stop collecting in fact. time to enjoy the vault and share haha. Anyway, I will give feedbacks on the paypal takeover and share the conclusion. Do not hesitate to share yours.

I've slowed down quite a bit over the last few years esp. with my son being born. My personal spending has been reallocated to other things like his future and of course, with another mouth to feed, the other expenses that come with it. Also, frankly, I have too much. I still buy a few things each year but yeah, definitely no longer the completist that I was from 2000 to 2013.

I was reading the forums on MFC, came across all the pissed off rants by people who have paid items not shipped for the past year+. Then today, one member posted this: ----------------------------------------------- I just now received an e-mail from Nippon Yasan after hearing nothing for 4 months despite opening a ticket about my pre-order that was supposed to ship in December:

Don't know how true this is or just N-Y pulling some BS to cover for their ineptitude. For me, it offers some hope that I will finally get the P-Bandai items I ordered, along with a POSE+ Goshogun. I have not gotten this email yet, but I have opened tickets with N-Y CS in the past, so I'll update when I see more info.

Their customer service was never great to begin with, so I'm steering clear. Many other options out there, no need to risk it and get involved in so much unnecessary BS, our time is worth more than that. All the time spent going back and forth can pay for a new toy at some point.

Bumping to inform you all that one of the guys behind Nippon-yasan apparently started selling customer personal info. There is a list of 500 usernames, emails, addresses, and passwords of Nippon yasan that is apparently floating around. I suggest you all update your passwords especially so any aee shared with your nippon yasan account
